We recommend you grab your tickets now, before the prices go up for ticket purchases on site and/or before our on-site ticket allotment sells out. Online ticket sales will end at 11am PST on Thursday, Oct 29. Although the event sells out each year, we will have a limited number of tickets available for on-site purchase. However, we do anticipate selling out this limited number of onsite tickets, so get your discounted tickets now. If you are interested in purchasing tickets on site, please be sure to call the Evergreen Lodge at 209 379 2606 on October 29 after 11am, prior to making the trip to reserve your ticket. Those tickets will be held at will call.Please use cash for on site purchases. There is an atm at the lodge. We do not want anyone inconvenienced, or turned away if we sell out our on-site allotment and having to drive home empty handed. We love you all dearly and thank you all for your continued support over the years. The last thing we want to do is turn you away, but we have always had a limited capacity and we have to honor that at all costs. Off-Site Camping Update
ON-SITE CAMPING SOLD OUT - OFF-SITE CAMPING UPDATE:
On-site camping is currently sold out.Camping will be allowed in a nearby designated area of the national forest. Those camping in the forest must have a parking permit, which costs $10 per night, per car, and can be purchased from the Evergreen Lodge at arrival after you get your wristband. The camping area will have portapotties and trash cans. Cars camping in the forest without permits will be towed.
Free camping in the national forest will only be available in areas that are several miles away from the lodge. If you’re interested in this option, call the forest service for more information.
If you plan on doing any camping in the national forest, please contact the Groveland Ranger Station for camping rules and to get information about how to obtain permits for campfires and cooking in the forest. Their phone number is 209-962-7825.LODGING INFO.

UMPHREY'S HALLOWEEN MASH-UP!
Umphrey's McGee is getting into the Las Tortugas Spirit! Check out their plans for Tortugas.
Last year we debuted a Halloween mash-up theme – music and costumes got the treatment at the Warfield, favorites including a Thriller / Another Brick in the Wall musical adventure, as well as costumes such as Ronald McDonald Trump (Andy) and Rick James Bond (Brendan). This year, we plan on continuing that theme with a few musical mash-ups, and we encourage you to join us by creating a mashed up costume of your own!
As we’ll be enjoying the amazing scenery of Yosemite National Park, perhaps you’ll choose something in the vein of nature’s architecture. You might hear a friend commenting about the strange looking person/rock like thing with a red hue – is he a Mt. Fuji Apple? Or maybe you’ll be taken by the striped, four legged rapper throwin down in the corner, also known as Jay-Zebra. Hey, why is that mustached man in the hiking gear also wearing what looks like a port a potty around him? Oh that must be a Joy John Muir outfit. Another variation on this theme might be Honey Buckethead, although a KFC bucket as you’re hat does stretch the “nature” element. Finally, if you want you can also be practical. Say you’re camping and really want to stay warm throughout the night, perhaps you’ll consider taping a bunch of IOU’s around your life size Fozzy outfit to become the most financially troubled animal/Muppet ever, Fozzy Bear Stearns.
So have fun creating your own, you guys definitely impressed us last year with some hilarious costumes. We’re looking forward to our first trip to Yosemite and Las Tortugas over Halloween. See you all soon!

Las Tortugas Dance of the Dead, is very proud to announce that the legendary drummer and co-founder of the Grateful Dead, Bill Kreutzmann, will be the Honored Guest for this year's festival. After honoring the Dead's legacy the past two year's with sizzling performances from Melvin Seals & JGB, Las Tortugas is delighted to continue the festival's warm embrace of the roots of the jam-centric scene at the heart of this intimate, exciting festival. Kreutzmann's innovative approach to drumming combined with his deep understanding of the power of rock 'n' roll & improvisation will be on display as he guests with Papa Mali at Las Tortugas. On-Site Camping Still Remains! - SOLD OUT
Please call the Lodge at 209/379-2606 to reserve an onsite camping spot. In addition to amazing on site camping, we do have many other great off site options too. We've done all the research for you to find the best hotels, camping, RV parks, and house rentals in close proximity to the festival. Please go to the lodging page for the details. With such an intimate atmosphere, we also encourage cabin sharing to maximize your experience at Las Tortugas Dance of the Dead. Part of the festivities include cabin decorating and we've found in the past there's nothing like a good cabin party to keep the vibe alive.
